Sunday was spent at Veggie Fest Chicago. They chose one of the hottest weekends to host this event! However, it was quite a success! Lots of vendors and veggie enthusiasts came out to explore the vegetarian and raw lifestyle.

Look for an upcoming review of Manna Bread Bakery after our tour of the bakery later this week. What is Manna bread? It is a cake-like, sprouted bread, yeast free bread, organic bread, free of salt, no oils, no sweeteners, no leavening agents. Manna is a moist and delicious, high in protein and fiber.
Great food demonstrations on getting kids to go vegetarian with great kid friendly recipes. What a fun way to introduce vegetarian, vegan and raw lifestyles to the public!
Kim at yoreganics.com gave me a sample of the laundry products to try and review. Most interesting are the soap nuts.
SOAP NUTS fall from the Soapberry tree (Sapindus mukorossi) found in Northern India and Nepal. The outer shells of
these dried fruit berries contain saponin, which creates soap when agitated in water. They effectively clean, soften and
remove odors from your laundry! I can't wait to try these!
I had a chance to meet Steve from Local Folks Foods(I originally heard about Local Folks Foods through Tasting Table a few weeks ago) and sample the ketchup, mustard and marinara sauce. Awesome ketchup, you could really taste how fresh it was! Look for upcoming product reviews on the marinara sauce and mustard that Steve was kind enough to give me to review.
